Ian Miller original art

I caught up with Ian in London last week. He was on very good form and he brought me a treasure trove of originals he's happy to sell. I think this 'pair' of Ents is about as classic as you'll ever find.

Ian was one of the first artists to produce concept work for Shrek and his work was inspirational. We have a few more drawings from that time and they're truly magnificent.

And for more movie material, he worked with Ralph Bakshi on Cool World and produced this drawing of the wall section of the Slash Club. Earlier and looser concept. work here

Bologna Children's Book Fair

Publishers here and everywhere are now busy preparing for the book fair which takes place in March. Luckily, Neil Packer has produced a map of the city so they'll be able to choose somewhere to relax over a meal when they get there. There will also be a preview of the forthcoming exhibition of work commissioned by The Folio Society at the SOI, and his work will be included in that.

Olivia Lomenech Gill and the Carnegie Illustration Award

We're delighted that Olivia's been longlisted for her illustrations for 'Clever Crow'. The author (Chris Butterworth) had written an inspiring text and Olivia found plenty more to say about this crafty and quirky bird family. We wish them well with this excellent book which has been rightly recognised by the judges.

We have some of her bird images for sale, including this chirpy jay on aluminium, and she's also selling her work at the Art San Gallery in Hong Kong.

John Harris originals

We have some more 'new' sketches by John now, including some of the development work he produced for the Homeworld 3 print.
