Gordon Crabb – and Dilly Court
Gordon Crabb has always paid attention to detail. When his illustrations were oil paintings, there would never be a slip-up with the kind of gun seen in a Western cover.
With his current work, which is mostly photography for British historical fiction, he has to take a certain licence as bonnets and dreary faces aren’t the best images for catching the eye of readers in the shops. We’re thrilled though, to see that three of the books by Dilly Court using his covers, have been in the Sunday Times Top Ten in 2020. So much so, that the Sunday Times have written a piece about this prolific writer who started writing at the age of 65. Dilly Court, On having three books in the Sunday Times Top Ten.
