This is now the third book of my work and this time I wanted to partly focus on the earlier stages of my working process – that is those initial sketches which provide the spark.
Most of us are in the habit of daydreaming. In my case, daydreaming is a specific and deliberate act with which I summon images, springing from an idea such as being a traveller voyaging through space and time and recording the wonders found amongst the stars in drawings and paintings.
In this book you'll see examples of some black and white sketches on the endpapers, and later in the book there are many pastel drawings in colour. Of course we've also included some finished pieces and you can see a selection of various spreads below.
The book is available in two editions. A main edition and also a Collectors' Edition with a slip case and includes a signed print of Shai-Hulud.
